Tasting - Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling

Name: Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling
Variety: Riesling
Region: Columbia Valley
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Price: $10

Winery Review: Our Columbia Valley Riesling is a blend of Riesling from throughout Washington’s Columbia Valley. The wine offers crisp apple aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. This is our “everyday Riesling” that is a pleasure to drink and easy to match with a variety of foods.

My Review: The smell was fruity but not too much. It had hints of white fruit like pear, apricot, melon, and a little citrusy. Some green grape smell too. The taste was off-dry. Not too sweet, it was delightful. I tasted melon, peach, and citrusy notes with lime being the dominate quality. It had a short finish. It was a good drinking wine. Not overpowering or offending.
