Tasting - Bay Bridge Merlot

Name: Bay Bridge Merlot
Variety: Merlot
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: NV
Price: $3

Winery Review: Deep ruby color. Red berry, fruit gum, and spiced nut aromas. A brisk entry leads to a fruity medium body of berry jam and pencil flavors. Finishes with a quick powdery tannin fade. An easy going quaffer for picnics.

My Review: Dark ruby color. Very acidic smell. Not overpowering. A lot of berries hit the nose. Different fruits working together. It is light. I taste butter. Definitely medium body with not a whole lot of character. I taste a lot of berries but can't really single one out. Maybe strawberry jam like qualities. It has a quick finish. Very mild and no lingering after taste. Very mild tannic quality.
