Tasting - AmRhein Sauvignon Blanc

Name: AmRhein Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Virginia
Country: USA
Year: 2014
Price: $15

Winery Review: This is a dry, crisp wine made using the New Zealand style with the terroir of Virginia.  The unique flavor is mouth-wateringly fresh and bold, featuring bright citrus and lively kiwi.

My Review:
A nice, unassuming white wine. Fresh cut grass hits the nose with a bit of fruit. On the palate are citrus flavors with some apple. Not a bad wine by any means. But this one doesn’t particularly stands out. It too isn’t very memorable. It is pleasant and has light acidity.
