Name: Barboursville Vintage Rose
Variety: 45% Cabernet Franc, 35% Barbera, and 20% Nebbiolo
Region: Orange County, Virginia
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Price: $15
Winery Review: Extravagantly pretty stone fruit nose and palate, with hints of pineapple and mango in a vivacious, pleasingly dry and astringent profile.
My Review: This wine has a nice floral nose. The taste is light and pleasant with some tropical fruit on the palate. I was excited to taste this when I saw the variety makeup. Not that this was a bad wine but I was a bit disappointed as these three grapes made for big wines on their own but didn’t really have the same effect when blended. Still a quality wine though.
