Name: Barboursville Sangiovese Reserve
Variety: 80% Sangiovese, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot
Region: Orange County, Virginia
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Price: $22
Winery Review: The king of Tuscan viticulture, gentle and elegant, with plenty of cherry and plum aromas that are well integrated with a lingering finish and a round structure.
My Review: This was a pretty good wine. Vegetal on the nose with red fruit mixed in. The taste was predominantly cherry. It was acidic on the finish. This was a nice wine but I wasn’t impressed with it. Nothing about really stood out.
