Name: Barboursville Riesling
Variety: 100% Riesling
Region: Orange County, Virginia
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Price: $12
Winery Review: A long and cold fermentation is the secret of this wine’s refreshing and floral character, with pear and ripe nectarine tones. Off-dry, well balanced, and a nice clean finish.
My Review: This Riesling was floral on the nose. It had an orange, citrusy taste. It was a well-rounded wine and off-dry leaning. The finish was crisp. It didn’t excite me but it wasn’t offending either. It was just an okay Riesling. I expected a bit more.
