Tasting - Michael-David Winery Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon

Name: Michael-David Winery Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Sirah
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Price: $20

Winery Review: A dense, rich, full-bodied, meaty, almost Mediterranean style of wine...possesses
loads of black and red currants, notes of roasted Provençal herbs, licorice and
loamy soil undertones in a dense, full-bodied, supple and silky style.

My Review:
This is a fantastic wine and one that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. The nose is of red fruit with notes of berries, plum, raspberries, strawberry, and currants. The taste is quite fruity with more berries specifically raspberries, plum, currants, and a slight vanilla note. This wine is full-bodied with a smooth, long finish. I absolutely enjoyed this.
